hey, back! Decided to start off my first post on Southeast Asia about ASEAN. Posting it in point form as it is easier to read.
ASEAN:
+ ASEAN stands for "Association of Southeast Asian Nations".
+ It is made up of 10 countries which are all part of the Southeast Asia.
+It was first formed on 8 August 1967 by Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand.
+ Aim: Acceleration of economic growth, social progress, cultural development among its members, the protection of the peace and stability of the region, and to provide opportunities for member countries to discuss differences peacefully.
+ Currently there are 10 countries : Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, The Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei.
